Students should plan to arrive at school between 7:30 am and 8:15 am in the morning.
There will be no playground supervision provided prior to 8:00 am. Students are not to arrive before 7:30 am. If you need to speak to a teacher, you will have to go through the office entry doors and check in with your ID through RAPTOR, get a badge, and wait for the teacher in the office.
Students who arrive by bus before 7:45 am should report to the school cafeteria where supervision will be provided until playground personnel report for duty.
Student Safety
All students must enter and exit the school grounds through the bus gate on South St. No student may be dropped off or picked up at the Rose St. entrance.
Students who walk to and from school should use the crosswalk on South Street and enter and leave the playground from the stairway.
Parents who drive their children to and from school must park and let students off on South Street and direct their children to use the crosswalk.
Under no circumstances should a parent double park, park in the bus loading zone, or encourage their child to enter or exit a car while in the middle of the street as these practices pose serious safety problems.
When buses are loaded and unloaded, flashing red lights serve as a signal for all traffic in both directions to stop. Students will advance from the South St. entrance across the front yard through the playground where supervision is available at the cafeteria. Students will no longer enter up the front ramp through the glass cafeteria doors for breakfast or wait until teachers are on yard duty for recess at 8:05.
As a reminder: Students in kindergarten through 3rd grade are not allowed to ride skateboards, roller skates, or bicycles to school.
