Welcome to Parkview Elementary School. My name is Heather Ward. I have proudly been with Taft City Schools for 22 years and served as an administrator for the past 11 years. I will be starting my 3rd year as principal of Parkview Elementary, the elementary school I proudly attended as a child.

I enjoy being in the classroom coaching teachers and assisting students. Recess is my favorite part of the day as you can usually find me out on the playground interacting with our students. I have an open-door policy and I pride myself on being transparent and a skilled problem solver.

We welcome your active involvement in the school as a partner in the education of your student. Please consider participation as a volunteer, audience member, occasional chaperone, or just an active participant in your student’s education.

Education is a dual responsibility of the home and the school and communication is the key to making sure we work together for the greatest success. I’m excited to start another amazing school year with you all!
