Taft Primary School was established in 1959 and is a small neighborhood school located on the east side of Taft. We have a cohesive team that is deeply committed to the academic and social development of all our students. Our students are encouraged to think critically, communicate effectively, collaborate with their peers, and use their creativity in their daily activities. Positive social skills are reinforced at Taft Primary using a system called Positive Behavior Intervention System (PBIS). We also offer an after-school program (ASES) to our students beginning at the end of regular school days through 6:00 pm. At Taft Primary, we are dedicated to the success of our students and developing productive partnerships with parents.
